Christmas Update

Joey got his gifts today and says that he likes them. Apparently the gloves fit, so that's good....and I know he likes George Carlin, so the book was a hit. Hopefully the satchel will be useful.

My gift from him? Three large bottles of Mead! Which is awesome in the fact that I now HAVE mead...but not as awesome is that I'll never be able to drink all of it by myself because I'm such an alcohol wuss. *dies* I'll take one of the bottles to a DnD session with BBear, Aramil and FluffyNinja (the other two haven't been mentioned before due to the fact that Aramil lives in Chico and FluffyNinja is more BBear's friend than mine, since they were in the same grades in highschool).

Wow, I have lots of pretend names for people. :D Awesome.

Anyway, since I'm here, I'll do a bit more updating. I saw The Producers yesterday.....twice. It's that good. Seriously, if you have to see only one modern musical/movie, you MUST see this one. It's absolutely hysterical, and I love the music. Plus, it's a hoot to see Will Ferral playing Franz Liebkind, the neo-nazi...and Uma Thurman as Ulla (I totally didn't know she could sing and dance...she's REALLY good). Oh, also, when you see the movie you must stay throughout the entire credits. Trust me on this one.

The second time I saw the movie, I saw it with BBear and FluffyNinja...who also loved the movie. We saw it at 11:15, so we left the theater and close to 2 AM. We went to FluffyNinja's house and just sorta hung out. I got to watch the boys drink a few drinks, then watch some video footage from the last time they got smashed. It was sad and funny at the same time! We ended up puppy-piling on a Love Sac and talking about...the most random shit possible.

Example:
BBear: *goes to the bathroom after having given a long talk about how he has a button fly and that it'd take forever to undo it*
FluffyNinja: ...but he always comes back so quickly! He must have...a TUBE in his pants.
Me: Like...a catheter!
FluffyNinja: Yeah.
Me: ...Was that the right word? I think I said cadaver...did I say cadaver or catheter?
FluffyNinja: *bursts out laughing* He has a cadaver in his penis!!
Me: *Squeal cackle* Zombi penis!
BBear: *returns* Uh....what'd I miss?
FluffyNinja: We're talking about the cadaver in your penis.
BBear: Oh! Is that all? Okay!

And it just got worse the closer it got to dawn. Yeah, dawn....I came home at 7:15. Whoops. Parents were all "Ahh holy crap where were you!?" Ah well. Next time, like when I go to a DnD session or somesuch, I'll warn them that I may stay uberlate.

Christmastime

Merry Christmas to everyone! I hope you all have had a wonderful time this season with the ones you love. Yesterday there was happy familiness (except for my poor sister-in-law who was sick, and my sister's husband who had to work). We had much fun with our typical Chinese food lunch and gift opening, including the stocking stuffers we got for everyone.

Around 8:00 I went off to see a movie with Joey, but since he was sick and I was exhausted (spent the past two days up until 4 AM roleplaying with B-Bear), we called it a night there. Also, since Amazon apparently hadn't sent my gift yet (it was ordered on the 22nd), he didn't want to get his yet. Oookay then.

I called B-Bear to see if he wanted to go hang out at Denny's or something so I could get a salad, since my parents were out to dinner/Christmas Eve Churchness...but ended up having pancakes and peanut butter. Woot? Heh. Twas good and melty peanut buttery..

This morning was veeeery relaxing. We gave the dogs and cat their Christmas Stockings full of fun new toys, and I think my favorite part of today was watching Roxie tear around the house with a toy that had feathers sticking out of it. She liked to grab it and chuck it about a yard away and then leap ontop of it.

Well, since everyone seems to post their "hauls" this time of year, here's mine.

Excluding the lots and lots of awesome randomness from my stocking, here's what I've gotten:

-Lots and lots of warm shirts/sweaters
-New set of flannel PJs
-Two pairs of jeans with AWESOME patterns on them
-Video Game: Shadow the Hedgehog (which my parents say was supposed to be Kingdom Hearts 2, but the release date was pushed back until April. Bleh!)
-A really nice brass Irish Whistle
-A GPS system for my car (Yay no more getting lost!)
-Seasons 1 and 2 of Monk....I already have Season 1, so I'll try to exchange it for 3 instead.
-A shirt that says "Geek is Sexy"
-A necklace with a d20 in it YAY! You can see it at Think Geek
-PostSecret (the book version of Post Secret which updates every Sunday)

In other news: I got my grades from last Semester!
Motivation in Children: B+
Development of Human Potential: B+
Modern Dance: A
Step Aerobics: A
Other Child Development class I've forgotten the name for: B+

One week later

My knee still friggin' hurts like nobody's business. Dammit...it's only just now starting to bruise, too. This ain't going to be a pretty knee. The pain centers around the, what I'll call "knee dimple" (that indent on the inside of the knee)...and sorta radiates a sore/stiff/throb pain up to about three inches above my knee. Heh. I fucked it up good.

Listening to Podcast 3 of Martin's....Gator's pissing me OFF at the end of it. Just...so damn annoying. *twitch* I want to kick him in his face.

Mood's kinda....meh. Relationship drama going on in my head. Hopefully I can talk to mah buddy in Australia to get their take on it.

Oh. And I've got a cold. At least the startings of a cold....fleh.

Updated my craft blog with pictures of everything I've knitted.

Bar hopping

Went out to Celtic Night last night at both the Grand Dell AND Duke's of Edinbourough (Wow I can't spell that for the life of me), and I took B.Bear with me, due to him being depressy.
We got to the Dell at about 9:00-ish, but only a few people that I vaguely knew were there. First thing I did was crack me knee into the bar so hard that I felt dizzy/lightheaded and couldn't breathe. Not fun!

Anyway, we hung out at the bar part of the room and looked at each other's sketchbooks when the bartender came over and saw. He said that we HAD to meet someone, so he brought over the guy's beer to lure him over. Turns out, he's the artist for the Neverland Transit Authority, a webcomic. We talked for a LONG time, the three of us, and I mostly listened while he and B.Bear talked about animation classes at DeAnza.

There was also a REALLY CREEPY old guy there. No, I'm SERIOUS. He creeped me the fuck out. See, B.Bear and I were talking to each other, and I heard a cell phone camera go off. I checked my phone, because sometimes it takes pictures in my pocket....but nope, it's not mine. I look around, and see this old dude with his cell phone at me. I give him an odd look and he takes another one, saying that it's for "Hugh Heffner." Cue the nervous laugh and my asking if that line was as old as Hugh Heffner himself before going back to my conversation with Benny. Later on, I go to sign up my name on the band's mailing list, so that I can be informed about where they're going when, and the guy comes back.

Dude: Have I seen you somewhere before? You look familiar.
Me: *WTF look* Uh...I was sitting over there.... *points*
Dude: Oh. I thought maybe I'd seen you on American Idol or something. *Creepy smile*
Me: Heh....uh...heh....nope! I'm going....back over there now. *flees! With a huge limp because OW MY KNEE*

Did it stop there? NOPE! Later, he came BACK over to me and Benny...

Dude: Miss Andrews!
Me: *DUDE SERIOUSLY GO AWAY!!* .....Meh?
Dude: Do you want to see the picture I took?
Me: Whatever...?
Dude: Okay, I'll e-mail it to you *creepy smile*
Me: ..... *whimpers, looks at B.Bear like "omg please can we go now?"

We pretty much left after that. I seriously do NOT want to know what he was going to do with that picture......ew....

At Duke's, we sat and listened/sang with the music until the Piper started playing. Christ, my ears hurt....we were right next to him. Now, I love pipes....but not that close to my ears! We stayed until he stopped that song, not wanting to be rude, and then left.

So yes. That's my night o' bar hopping. I didn't even drink anything! :D

Finals and Dreams

Well, my finals are all done. I expect to get all As and Bs in my classes, so that's good.

Since my final was at 7:15 today, I came home and went back to sleep. I had a very depressing dream....I had a dream that my dad had died, and no one was giving me sympathy or letting me cry. I tried to call Joey during the dream, and he never answered his phone. Bleh. Icky dream.

Update

Hey. Feeling a bit better.....starting to go in an upswing, I guess. Still not my happiest, but hopefully getting better. I figure that not crying within the last 24 hours is always a good sign, yeah?

Been updating the crafty blog lately with all sorts of fun stuff. Feel free to go comment on things. Unless you're Joey. If you're Joey, don't look, because I've been posting the gifts I'm making you.

Same ol' same ol'

Still depressed/lonely. Low self esteem is far from fun...particularly when it causes you to cry for a half hour in the car....then again before bed.

I need cuddling, hugging, and affection....I need to know that if I was put into the hospital or something happened, that certain people would go out of their way to see me. I know my friends that are spread out around the country wouldn't be able to, but the ones that are at least in the state.....I just....I don't know. I feel as if something wereto happen, that everyone would be too busy/lazy to make the trip.

Don't worry. I won't be doing anything to myself. I may be depressed, but I'm not stupid. I just need to feel that I'm not a nuisance to folk.

Fleh....

Lots going on right now. Life's being confusing and not happy at the moment. Sorry for the lack of updates...if anyone still reads this, that is.

Meep!

Holycrap I just realized today that I have three papers that are all at least 8 pages long and are due on Nov. 30, Dec. 1 and Dec. 2nd. *stares* I'm scared.

Sunday, October 30, 2005

It's like online CRACK.

So. I've created myself a MySpace Account. I convinced myself that when I got it, I wouldn't become one of "those" people on that site. You know the type...they sit around and update constantly, friending absolutely any/everyone they meet.

...However, I have discovered something about this thing. It has virtually EVERYONE I ever knew on it. I've found my best friend from 8th grade, another friend that I lost contact with in the middle of highschool, and someone who moved away when I was three (and they STILL REMEMBERED ME!). I'm now obsessively trying to find people that I know there, adding them to my list-o-friends, so that I can keep up with their lives.

*hangs head* I'm sooooo pathetic.

In other news:
I carved my pumpkin today!

Graveyard Shift

Well. Last night was interesting.

I got an IM last night from a girl I somewhat know who lives in my neighborhood, but am still cautious of. Mainly because I don't trust people unless I've known them for a long time. Anyway, it turns out that she (now known as keoieid, since it's one of her blog aliases) and her boyfriend needed help burying some dead pets of theirs (they rescue rats and mice at old age so they don't have to die in a pet store or shelter), since neither of them have a license. So, I was asked to drive these two people, one of which I barely know and another I don't know at all, to a graveyard. At midnight-ish. In the DARK.

Yeeeeah....I was scared that I was going to get my head bashed in so I could convieniantly get burried in the graveyard. Heh.

Thankfully, Keoieid said it was alright if I dragged a friend along as a security blanket. She also promised to give me a ring that is insanely important to her as insurance that I would get back home safe and sound. Well, who else do I call to accompany me other than my B. Bear? (A best friend of mine since high school) He didn't have any other plans, so agreed. I gave Joey a call on his cell phone and told him my plans, and that I'd call him if/when I got home safe and sound. He ended up calling me twice during the event to make sure I was okay....heh.

B. Bear gets here at about 11:00-ish and we go pick up the girl and her boyfriend. All of us dressed in dark colors, the pets wrapped in rags and bags since they had been in the freezer up to this point, and none of us with any type of gardening shovel. First stop, Long's Drug Store to see if they have anything we can dig with! Of course, after doing a few laps, we can't find anything that's exactly what we want. What do we end up buying? A large spoon made of metal. Heh. Also, some drinks (soda, water, and $3 strawberry daiquries that tasted slightly like watered down strawberry yogurt), and a bag of chips. Off we go to the graveyard.

One thing about this graveyard that amuses me is that it's right next door to a retirement center, and across the street from a mortitian's. Anyway, we pull up next door to an apartment complex on one side of the cemetary and non-chalantly walk towards the place as though we had every right to be there. Making certain no cars were coming, we hopped the two-foot wall and disappeared into the shadows.

Now, my night vision is CRAP for some reason, if it's very dark and shadowy. If I wasn't too scared to be where it was a bit better lit, it wouldn't have been so bad. As it was, my poor B. Bear turned into my night vision "seeing-eye-buddy," meaning that I clung onto his arm so that if I stumbled, I wouldn't go too far.

Anyway, we continued through the graveyard until we got to a point where cars would not be able to see us from the street, so we stopped clinging to the shadows. At one point, we passed the spot where apparently Keoieid had burried some dwarf hamsters she'd rescued earlier in the year, so she stopped and poured some of her strawberry daiquri over the grave for them. We continued onward until we got closer to the back of the graveyard and set to looking for ground soft enough to dig in. Of course, we're all trying to be quiet, but still cracking jokes at each other in an attempt to get others to laugh (especially Keoieid, since she does a loud snort when she laughs....which made me giggle like a chipmonk...which made B. Bear laugh louder).

Well, the first place we tried to dig was in "The Greek Section," where I imgagine all of the Greeks get burried, since Keoieid mentioned that she had promised them that the next time they were there that they would burry some pets with them. Unfortunately, the ground was too soft, so we went and looked for a different spot. After, of course, telling the Greeks that if they get softer ground that they can have the next pets.

After finally finding a spot with soft enough ground, we dug the holes for the pets. Well, by "we" I mean that it was Keoieid's boyfriend who did all of the digging. Always let the big strong men do the work, eh? We were near a wall that had houses on the other side, and one of them had lights that kept going on and off. B. Bear and I were paranoid that they could hear us and kept very quiet whenever the lights came on. Another thing that was odd was that I kept seeing things out of the corner of my eye. Like, a light in the graveyard going on and off, or something darting past in the distance just out of my field of vision. It creeped me out royally.

Once the critters were in their makeshift graves, they added something circular (to represent eternity, I guess) and poured a bit of boozahol (B. Bear's term for the drinks) into the ground with them. After the ground was replaced, we went back toward the street, once again clinging to the shadows. I started humming the Mission Impossible thing while B. Bear made jokes about feeling like he was in Splinter Cell.

We FINALLY made it back to the street, piled into my Honda Civic, and headed back homeward. I dropped off Keoieid and her boyfriend at the apartment complex they live in, returned Keoieid's ring, and then B. Bear and I came back home.

Since B. Bear was the friend that went with the niece and I to the Renaissance Faire, and videotaped/took pictures of the event, we spent some time transferring the stuff from his little USB drive onto my laptop and viewing the material. That took....about two hours or so. Heh. Once that was all done, along with the mutual gawking at each other's sketch books, he went home and I went to bed. The entire evening went from about 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM for me. Wow.

Random Update

Let's see...Wednesday, I had an interview for the Integrated Program that'll help me get out of school faster with my credential for teaching AND Early Childhood Education degree. It went.....okay, I guess? I'll hear back within the week.

I have about a million things due in the next few weeks. I have at least 3 papers and a group presentation. One's due next week, the presentation and another paper are on the same day, and the last paper is a week after the presentation. Argh. AND I need to start working on my term paper too. *panic* I hate this.

Cat scratch FEVER!

Heh...I just got these two huge scratches on my neck when Roxie, my cat, tried to climb onto my back from my shoulder. These are, like....a foot long. Owwww. She broke a little skin, too. It's all good, though. I washed 'em with soap twice and slathered Neosporin aaaaaaaaall over.

I'm SEXY now.

From . Mr. Bernhand Bernhand Jnr.

Kindest Attention:

My name is Mr. Bernhand Bernhand Jnr, I am from portugal. I have been
diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. It has defiled all forms of medical
treatment, and right now I have only about a few months to live, according
to medical experts. I have not particularly lived my life so well, as I
never really cared for anyone (not even myself)but my business. Though I am
very rich, I was never generous, I was always hostile to people and only
focused on my business as that was the only thing I cared for.But now I
regret all this as I now know that there is more to life than just wanting
to have or make all the money in the world. I believe when God gives me a
second chance to come to this world I would live my life a different way
from how I have lived it.

Now that God has called me, I have willed and given most of my property and
assets to my immediate and extended family members as well as few close
friends .I want God to be merciful to me and accept my soul so, I have
decided to give alms to charity organizations, as I want this to be one of
the last good deeds I do on earth. So far, I have Distributed money to some
charity organizations in the U.A.E, Somalia and Malaysia. Now that my health
has deteriorated so badly, I cannot do this myself anymore. I once asked
members of my family to close one of my accounts and distribute the money
which I have there to charity organization in Bulgaria and Pakistan, they
refused and kept the money to themselves.

Hence, I do not trust them anymore, as they seem not to be contended with
what I have left for them. The last of my money which no one knows of is
the huge cash deposit of Twenty Million United States
Dollars($20,000,000,00) that I have with an Asset Management Company Abroad.
I will want you to help me collect this deposit and dispatch it to charity
organizations.

N/B:Kindly note that 30% of this funds must go to the tsunami victims,10%
will go to Hurricane Katrina Victims, 50% to other Charity Organization and
10% for your effort and time.

I cannot talk with you on the phone due to my health situation, as I am
using my Lab Top Computer to communicate with you. You should respond to
this e-mail if you are interested in carrying out this assignment on my
behalf.

God be with you.

Mr. Bernhand Bernhand Jnr,

Renaissance Faire Highlights

- Broon is back!! For those who don't know, he is a performer who was out of the performing loop for a year or so because he had a really severely bad accident that involved a straight jacket and a 15 foot drop.
- I got to sit on a Bold and Stupid Man (The one with the sword in his ear in the picture)
- New chemise for fairing
- OMG the jousting field is tiny
- Buddy was video taping bits and pieces of the day. Can't wait to see it.
- I got hit on by soooo many Ren Faire Guys. *dies* It was fun.
- 17 year olds who were going around as King Arthur and Patsy from Monty Python's Holy Grail (GREAT costumes...the backpack on Patsy was perfect)
- Moonie and Broon brought Bolt Upright (the B&S guy I love so much and the one I got to sit on yay) onto the stage in their improv show and made him eat fire. That was totally the best part of their show.
- I got to taste mead. It was REALLY good. Mmm. I think I have something I may have to buy next time I go to the Faire.
- Got a bead hair clip thingy that looks all piratey and awesome.

Other than that, I got to listen to my Niece talk about how "OMG That guy is SO CUTE" and what not. Saw ANOTHER bodice that I really wanted that was made by Hathor's Mirror....sadly, I don't think they have a webpage, so I'll have to save money to get one next year. As for now, I'm tired, a little relieved to not be around people right now, and my left shoulder is killing me.

I think, however, after about 5 years or so of going to these things, I'm starting to get the hang of how to act at these faires.

Scottish Games and More Stuff

Alright, so last Saturday the folks and I all piled into the car and went to Ben Lomond for the Highland Games. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and I sadly forgot to wear any sunscreen, so I've got some sunburned shoulders.

Highlights from the day (we spent 5 hours there, starting at noon):
- Getting to listen to my favorite celtic band, Celtic Blacklyst (I'm biased, since I go hang with them every Thursday)
- Taking over 200 pictures of them on one of the band members' camera, because she said they didn't have any really good pictures of the group playing together with the singer in them.
- Watching the hammer dulcimer player in her dance troupe...even though the poor dancers were having CD player issues. *snerk*
- I got dragged on stage with the Wicked Tinkers when they asked if anyone didn't know the song "Wallop The Cat"...and I stupidly tossed my arm into the air. SO embarassing....and SO fun.
- Feeling like I was going to get bludgeoned to death by the drummer of Wicked Tinkers as I was on stage, thanks to his over enthusiastic drum beating.
- Getting a brand new bodice that my dad bought for me. It's so puuuuurty. It's the only tapestry bodice I've liked in a LONG time.
- Meeting a CUTE little white kitten who was blind, but goes EVERYWHERE contentedly riding on her owner's shoulder.

Hrrm...that's pretty much all I really remember right now.

What else is new? Oh yes. I have a paper due on Thursday, and one on Monday....and I'm going to the Renaissance Faire on Sunday (which was planned BEFORE I knew I had all these papers due). Hmm...I have to interview some adulty person for one of them. I'll see if my brother wants to, since I'm sure he'd be VERY interesting to write about.

Also, I went to a meeting to learn about the Integrated Credential program at SJSU for Child Development/Teacher majors. Looks good, so I think I'll apply for it. Hopefully, it won't stress me out TOO much.

Car update

Radio's fixed. Yay! I didn't have to buy a new one. There was a business card from the original dealer wedged into the owner's manual THANK GOD. I took it to the service people yesterday and they got my radio code for me. Whew. Now I can listen to Howard Stern HUZZAH!!

Wednesday, September 28, 2005

My car is back...

....but I have to buy a new radio. Dammit!!

Okay, here's the thing. My car, in the process of getting fixed, somehow rebooted the radio. It is now asking me for a code WHICH I DO NOT HAVE. While trying to GET the stupid thing, we have done the following:

1) Called the Auto Body shop ("OMG you have to call where you got the car.")
2) Called Chris' Dodge World, which is where we got it ("Dude...you have a HONDA....we don't have info on HONDAS.")
3) ...Called a Honda Dealer ("Um...we never had this car....did you buy it used?" "Yes." "Oh, you need the original dealer, then.")
4) Did a search online for the VIN to find the original dealer....according to dad, that didn't work.

So now I need a new radio because I can't get this to do ANYTHING. Even to spit out my Spamalot CD that's in it.

Fucking fuckers of Fuckville...

Okay, I do Gaslighter stuff....WHY!?

Some highlights from today's craptastic show:

-8 year old's birthday party consisting of 30 children (at least)
-Children climbing on stage and throwing popcorn at each other before the show.
-Same children climbing BACK on after being told not to.
-Yelling during the show so the cast had to holler/scream their lines. My throat fucking hurts.
-Throwing popcorn, containers, cups, and A PIECE OF PIZZA onto the stage.
-Climbing onto the stage DURING the show.
-Causing the villian to get so tweaked out from them that he threw crap back at them after she melodrama, coming back stage and saying "DAMN that felt good."
-Getting kicked during the number when we went into the audience.
-Getting cat-called at by someone's father during the audience number.
-The Heroine getting punched during the audience number.
-Children yelling "Take off your clothes so we can see you naked!" while on the stage....seriously, WTF?

And to add insult to injury, instead of the usual $20 we get for these shows, I got $10. Gregh.

One positive thing:
-The Hero zipping me into my corset costume (he's the only one who could/had time to wrestle me into it) managing to do it easier than it has been lately.
Me: Well, that went up easier than usual.
Him: Yeah, it did.
Me: I'll blame my step aerobic classes for that.
Him: Well, thanks, now I'M not getting enough exercise.
Me: *playful punch*

...Okay, so I guess that's why I do the shows. I like the cast members. *snort* The owners are lucky we don't quit.

Sunday, September 18, 2005

Pissy tired ranting time. YAY.

I really want to go to the Scottish Games over with my brother and his wife next Saturday. Unfortunately, I have a Gaslighter show. Snarl.

I wasn't even supposed to be doing the shows this time around. I said I'd be willing to understudy. Fleh. Anyway, last week I went to return the CD I borrowed from the director, and we had the following conversation.

Mark: CAITY!!
Me: *Squeak*
Mark: I'm so glad to see you! I lost my cell phone and don't have your number. YOU HAVE A SHOW NEXT WEEK.
Me: ....buh?
Mark: What's your cell phone number?
Me: ......Uh...*gives*
Mark: *programs* GREAT! See you next week!! *leaves*
Me: ....*looks at dad* Don't I have a cast party that day?
Dad: Yes. Yes you do.
Me: Shit.

ANYway....the show was canceled so that we could have a rehearsal, since apparently there'd been NONE AT ALL for ANYONE. And we have a new person. AND....and they're changing the audience number and adding another one in. I don't know what either of them are, and when I left the rehearsal for the cast party they were still arguing over what the audience number was going to be.

Don't even get me started on the rehearsal. The highlight was when I got to glare/beat up on the guy playing Sterling Worth, the hero. He said he was gonna go see Seussical, and he'd gotten at least two flyers. He did not go, though.

Sterling: *spots me, beams, waves*
Me: *Death Glare +5*
Sterling: ....I'm sorry I missed it! *flee*

Aside from that, the cast party was fine. I got to get lots and lots of hugs from one of the Mr. Mayor guys, who gives the best hugs I've EVER had. Nice strong grampa-like hugs. Let's see, got to tell my story about crashing into the sign to a bunch of folk, same with the bit I just told above about returning the CD to the Gaslighter.

So yes. I'm pissy that I won't get to see my brother, his wife, or the band that I've gotten friendly with that's going to be playing there. Grr. Growl. Other disgruntled noises.

Also, I won't have my car back until sometime next week.

And now, to bed.

Fan-fucking-tastic

Yes, I should be at school. No, I'm not. Why? Lord, where do I begin...

Okay. I was all set to go to my classes. 7:30 and I'm in the car, ready to go to SJSU. Turn on the engine and defroster, because the window was foggy. No worries, it's usually fine by the time I get to Campbell Ave. and even then, it's not a big problem.

Key word: Usually.

Today, it was not going to defrost. In fact, when I got to Campbell Ave. I discovered that, lo and behold! I can't see a fucking thing! Thank you, cursed sun, for BLINDING me. Okay, don't panic too much....I just need to get onto a side street so that I won't cause an accident. So, there I am, pulling over to the side of the road and crawling along at 20 mph or less. Since I can't see out the front, I'm relying on the curb to guide me to a corner I can turn at.

WHAM!!

Cracked right into a "DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION" sign. Freaked the fuck out, threw on my hazzard lights and panicked in the car. Called mom, called AAA, got out to investigate the damage. Eventually, a few strangers came to see if I was alright. One of which gave me a hug and stuck around until a cop came to take a report. Called AAA again to make a claim, went to where my car got towed (I apparently knocked the passenger side front wheel back so that I can't drive it correctly yet), went to the Auto Body shop to fill out stuff there. Bleh.

Just got home. Mom's picking up the rental car (she's going to use it and I'm gonna use the "truck") and on her way home, too. We'll see how it goes from there.

Damn. It's not even 9:30 yet. This is gonna be a fun day...

Meh

Show closed this weekend. I'll update with a bit more information when I have less post-show-depression.

Production week, new classes, and OPENING WEEKEND

Good lord, I'm tired.

Production week was quite an event. Starting on Sunday of last week, there was a rehearsal EVERY day (save for Monday)...and Sunday was an all day for me at the theater. When I wasn't on stage, I had to take notes of the other cast so that my mom could be a Who on stage (that particular cast is rather weak, for some reason).

Not only that, but my classes at SJSU started on Wednesday. I've spent over $280 on books for THREE classes. Gah. I still have to buy one for my P.E. class (wtf?), too. Buuuut, that'll be okay, I guess. However, the whole "waking up at 6 in the morning" thing is going to take a LOT of getting used to.

Friday was opening night!! My cast was the first one to do the show with a real audience. On Thursday, I'd managed to turn my ankle while on stage practicing...but thankfully I own SO many braces that I'm still able to do the shows.

Of the people who came to see me on opening night, there was my brother, sister-in-law, sister, parents' friends, and the fella who teaches me how to play my Irish Whistle. He is so incredibly awesome and happy. Last night, one of my friends from highschool came and saw my show, along with a whole bunch of the little girls from the elementary school I've been doing choreography at for the past 5 years. I miss them sooooooo much. Hopefully my mom and I will be offered to do that again this year, but we haven't heard from whoever's in charge yet. *Sigh* A few of those girls are gonna be soooooo sad if I don't come back.

Hmmm....oh. Joey was supposed to come see the show, but he had car trouble again. That seems to happen to him a lot. Meh. If he can't make it, he can't make it. Hopefully, the other folk I've invited to see the show will come next weekend for my matinees.

.....God, those matinees are going to suck. Wearing a full tux with tails made of polyester....on stage...under those HOT lights....in the middle of the afternoon. Eeyugh. ;P

OMG Blonde!

Well, a LITTLE blonde. *snerk* Allow me to be completely girly for a moment...

I got highlights today YAY!! They look awesome and pretty and I love them. But I'll never spend that much on my hair again. $90, good Good!! Well, anyway....go check out the hair. http://maskedkitola.textamerica.com/?r=3098741

And I have BANGS....I haven't had bangs in forEVER. Wow. It's weird. At least they're long. And cover my irritated eye. Oh, an update on that by the way: It's not itchy. It's a little teary and the skin is a bit peely where it got irritated, but I believe it's getting better. Huzzah!

Lesson Learned:

After mopping the kitchen floor with one of those neat things that uses wipey-pads on them...ALWAYS wash hands when finished. ESPECIALLY if you replace the pad a few times.

And, if you forget to wash your hands...for the love of God, DON'T RUB YOUR EYE.

Owwwwww.....owowow.

(thankfully, it's just irritated around the eye, so it looks like I have a black eye in...pink form. I flushed it with a wet paper towel as soon as I realized why the damn thing was itchyburny)

Messy Stressy "Fun"

Alrighty.

On Saturday, there was a huge dance rehearsal for the "Little Cat" group that went from 10 - 3. I had to teach two dance numbers, a bit for intermission and then let another woman take over to teach "The Circus." Not exactly stressful, really, but incredibly tiring. Plus, while I was teaching my niece (who was helping me) some of the moves, I rolled my ankle...causing me to fall right onto my keester. Owww. Thankfully, it isn't too bad...just stiff and a bit sore.

Today (Sunday) was.....amazingly stressy all around. My mom has lost her cell phone, which was the number she gave to Men's Warehouse about the possibility of my using a tux and tails for free. I'm going to be going down there tomorrow to go give the woman MY cell phone number instead. The stress from that event, though, was underneath aaaall of the other "fun" today. The usual Sunday Rehearsal (1 - 4) was also the costume parade. A lot of people didn't know it was today, apparently, despite that it was announced at the end of every rehearsal for a few weeks. Also, for some reason, the rehearsal just did NOT flow very well at all. It felt very chaotic and disjointed. No clue as to why.

Afterwards, my parents and I went out to dinner to a very calm, quiet, and nice Itallian resturaunt. It was expensive, but worth it for the atmosphere and the wonderful friendly waiters. Plus, the location made lemon liquor was MMMMMsogood. I only had half a shot's worth, though, since I'm such a lightweight.

Alrighty...as soon as dinner was done, we had to go to the "Sit and Sing" rehearsal. Effectively, it was a chance for the orchestra and cast to work together and learn how the show will sound. I had a fine time doing it, even though the girl who is my double apparently was ticked off that I knew how the words and music went together and she didn't (there are parts in the music where there's a spoken line, a chord, another spoken line, another chord, etc. My double liked to just plow through those lines).

Whew.

Along with having to go talk to Men's Warehouse tomorrow, I may be seeing Joey during the day before rehearsal. Also, my new Irish Tin Whistle is coming in the mail tomorrow. Hopefully.

8-3-05

Alrighty then. Today, I need to...

- Buy red sequin dress trim
- Buy a red clipboard
- Buy a new ace bandage (the dog chewed mine up)
- Find time to work on clovers again

Time to get started.

Tuesday, August 02, 2005

To Do today:

- Go to SJSU and pay for my classes
- Buy a new ace bandage for my ribs...or a "rib belt" if I can find one. Ended up buying more prop crap for the show instead.
- Finish making clovers for the show. Only 50 more!
- Listen to "Havin' a Hunch" until I have some idea on what the heck to do with the number.
- Try to tone down my crankiness that's drifting over from last night.

*yawn* Gonna finish getting ready, then drive of to SJSU. Whee.

Birthday and other updates

Soooo yes, my birthday was on Saturday. Wheeeee! Spent the day doing not much special. Took Dhougal to the dog-wash, and it took two of us to brush, bathe and dry the boy. He was muuuch calmer this time, in comparison to the last time. Though he did try to bite at the air-dryer while trying to dry the poor pup off.

Umm....bought some props for Seussical and got to work on making them correct. I'm making even more clovers (we'll have about 600 now), and painting some bland props (baskets) into red and white stripes.

After buying the props and supplies, I went to the Gaslighter to pick up a CD of the "Lobby Songs" so that I can teach them to the "Little Cats" for the intermission bit in Seussical. That'll be an iiiinteresting day...It's a five hour rehearsal teaching dance and songs to a group of at least 12 girls between the ages of 8 and 12. Eeeek!! And I still have to choreograph one of the numbers...

My brother, his wife, my sister and niece all came over for dinner and gift giving. We went to a Chinese Resturaunt called House of the Orient...very very yummy. And I guess I'll do the obligitory "haul" listing:

-1st season of Monk (SQUEE!!)
-1st Season of Futurama
-Volume 1 of Family Guy
-A set of Family Guy Bendables
-Kill Bill vol. 1
-Kill Bill vol. 2
-A shirt with a really extreme formula that eventually equals 42
-2 shirts from Pac Sun (one's just purty, the other has a little chibi Eeyore and says "i need a hug" under it)
-1 pair of Lee True Fit Jeans...they don't gap in the back when you sit or bend!!
-A white tank top with a really REALLY cute hippy/ren faire skirt. It's green and full of beads everywhere
-An Arlo Guthrie CD....can't wait to listen to it.
-25th Anniversary Illustrated Special Edition of THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY
-Official Biography of Douglas Adams

Oh! I also went to Duke's on Thursday again. The Irish Whistler taught me two more songs, so now I know a total of three songs he's taught me, and four I taught myself (Theme to Popeye, Yo Ho A Pirate's Life For Me, and two songs from Seussical).

Ribs are still fairly darn sore. Ow.

Friday, July 22, 2005

Fucking OW....

Okay, so with my bruised ribs or whatever, I haven't been coughing much. I try to keep that pain down. But sometimes, you just get something caught in your throat and you have to cough. That happened, and I swear I felt something pop. Ow ow ow.....thank God there's no STABBING PAIN OF DEATH anymore. Yay for ace bandages.

Mild update: Joey was in town to go to his sister's "wedding" (City Hall wedding with just bride, groom, and bride's family)....so, since he'll be in VEGAS on my birthday, we spent some time together this weekend. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be too cheery. My throat is still hurting, my ribs make me uncomfortable, and I screwed up my back so I've got a nasty knot in my shoulder. Joey actually went to massage my shoulders and said "Holy mother!! That ain't right..."

Thursday night, after rehearsal, I went over to a pub where there's a Celtic band that plays once a week. The same band has done the Kirkin of the Tartan at our church. Anyway, I went and visisted with them for a bit and the piper of the group started teaching me how to play Irish whistles. I've already learned a pretty simple polka.

Well, that's all there is to say right now. Time to put ice on my side.

Sunday, July 17, 2005

Ow, my me.

I think I've bruised a rib from coughing so damn much in the past two weeks. This really, REALLY hurts. So not my idea of a good time. Ah well....hopefully I'll get better soon.

Secondly, I got the newest Harry Potter book yesterday and was up until 5:30 am reading it. Very good. I won't give any spoilers. I was just very pissed and who was killed, and who did the killing. Grr.

Thirdly, I am highly cranky. I'll chalk it up to my soreness, tiredness (having been up until 5:30 am the other night reading Harry Potter) and having screwed up at rehearsal. Not just at one particular person.

Fourthly. I'm under the impression that the Gaslighter has already cast their show for the next round about, and I have been passed over as being a member this time around. Snarl.

Fangirl Moment

I don't normally get star-struck when meeting "celebrities" (granted, I've only met the cast of Unscrewed and Stephen Shwartz)....but I just realized something.

I would totally squeal and turn into a raving fangirl if I met Tony Shalhoub.

I've even had a dream where Monk decided I was really nifty and cuddly. It was strange. But kinda awesome. The dream itself was sort of a cross between "Monk" and "The Dead Zone"....where Monk had to touch things to see the future and figure out cases. But, Monk being who he is, had issues with touching it.

Man, I'd so love to be an extra on that show.

Updates Galore

Alright, I've been away so I guess I should give a few updates.

First off, I am thankfully feeling better. I still have a cough, but as I've been telling people....as long as what I cough up is clear instead of the neon green-ish it's been, I'm happy! Our trip to the ranch was canceled, due to the fact that I would've been absolutely miserable. Spent the week seeing movies, mostly. I also went to Marine World with my niece, despite the fact that I had to stay drugged up on tylenol, sudafed, and cough syrup through the whole day.

On the 8th, I had a gaslighter show to do. The guy who plays the villian didn't show up....so we had to draft the director's brother. Thankfully, the guy has 30 years of experiance under his belt so he was able to do it. It was odd having someone on book, though....and the first scene starts out so dark that he was unable to read it, so we got some very odd lines at first.

Amazingly, the guy who usually is the villian was at the auditions for the next show. IN ONE PIECE. My mom and I were both shocked at that.

Oh yes, and my mom and I both auditioned for the next Gaslighter show. Still haven't heard back from them yet, but I feel as though it went fairly well.

Joey was supposed to come up last weekend, but on the way up his car died. Soooo....he stayed in L.A. while it got fixed. The starter had died and the brakes were on their last legs. It's a good thing those got fixed when they did.

Hmm....what else? Well, the summer musical of Seussical is eating me alive. I had to spend the day yesterday choreographing with a friend of mine. And it turns out there's an emergency dance rehearsal scheduled for the same day of my birthday. Meh. Oh well...I've had rehearsals on my birthday before, so hopefully it'll just be a few hours.

Guess that's it for now. I'm off to pull myself together and do a wee bit more choreography for tonight's rehearsal.

Vacation? Hope so.

So, on Sunday I'm supposed to go on my family's annual trip to R-Ranch for the 4th of July week. Sadly, today I'm feeling utterly craptastic. My throat is sore, my chest is tight, I cough if I take too deep of a breath, and I kept waking up last night.

Hopefully, I'll be feeling better by July 3rd....I'd hate to feel sickly while at a ranch. I'd be all pissy. But, if I'm not better by then...I BETTER be by the 8th. I have a show to do at 11 in the morning.

SUCCESS!!

Whew....it was a pain in the arse, but I got registered. Check out my pain in the ass schedule:

Monday and Wednesday:
9 - 10:15 AM (Motivating Children and Adolescents)
10:30 - 11:20 AM (Development of Human Potential)
1:00 - 2:50 PM (Beginning Modern Dance)

Tuesday and Thursday:
8:30 - 9:45 AM (Child Coping and Adaptation)
1:30 - 2:20 PM (Step Aerobics)

Friday:
10:30 - 11:20 AM (Development of Human Potential)

I'm kinda pissy that I've got a Friday class....I hate having Friday classes. I was hoping to keep that day free for traveling to L.A. on a few weekends. I guess I won't mind leaving a little later in the day. I'll be able to grab a Jamba Juice and take off.

But whew. Got THAT out of my way. Though sadly, I went somewhat "emo" at Joey when I was all stressed out. I'm gonna give him a call later tonight and apologize profusely.

College Update #3

Okay, I just got back from complaining at the admissions people. Something was telling the server that my transcripts hadn't been sent in, hense why I had a hold. No one could figure out why the hold was there, since if you investigated it said that my transcripts WERE in.

So they took the hold off.

I've now registered for 9 of the 12 units I need to take to be a full time student. I need one more, but the webpage is error-ing at me again. Guh.

Breeeeeathe. Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale.

Time to drown my stress in pineapple. Hey, no one ever gained weight off of pineapple, right?

Even more college drama...

They fixed the error they had last night so that people can register. I, however, am forbidden to. They're claiming I have "Documents Outstanding"....ADMISSION documents, nonetheless. I'm a fucking CONTINUING STUDENT!

So of course, I call them.

"Your call is important to us, please stay on the line"

......

"Your call is important to us, please stay on the line"

......

"Your call is important to us, please stay on the line"

......

"There are too many people calling, you are now being disconnected."

....*beep beep beep beep*.....

There's about 20 minutes I'll never get back. *Calls back to spite them* Bastids...

SJSU Class Registration

I'm not having fun. Here's the drama so far:

-My "enrollment appointment" starts at 6:20 PM tonight.
-Every Monday, the online system has "scheduled down time" that goes from 8:00 until 11:00 at night.
-Today, the day of my enrollment appointment, there is ADDITIONAL downtime from 6:00-8:00 PM.

Conclusion:
Despite that I'm supposed to be able to register starting at 6:20 today, I will be unable to until 11:00 tonight.

Meh. I guess it could be worse. But this is still a pain in the ass.

Update in Craft's Journal

New finished project posted here: http://kitolacrafts.blogspot.com/

My "closing show" for the Gaslighter gor canceled for this weekend. Bugger all...that makes me sad. Damn the director for canceling.

Here's the basic idea of the phone call I got:
Director: Hi Caity! Listen, this huge party of 25 canceled today, so I moved the party of 13 to the night show.
Me: *blink* ....uh...
Director: I didn't want to do the show for just 13 kids.
My thoughts: Well, I would've....

Meh. Oh well, at least I got to go see Batman Begins. Just WOW. VERY good movie. Having never seen ANY Batman movies (Yes, I know, bad Caity)...it seems like a great place to start. I'm sure I'll be checking out others now. Whee!

Six Legged Puppy

I totally want one for my birthday.

Joey Week

Let's see...not too much going on in the life here. Rehearsals for Seussical are getting better, so YAY! Vocals are over in a few more weeks. The clover count for the show is 461. I'd make more, but I'm on a new project now that's also for the show.

Joey came up this week! I got to spend a lot of time with him, so yay. Run down here:
Monday: Quick hi there and hello after the drive up and spending time with his guy pals.
Wednesday: Went to S.F. for the day, listening to the SPAMALOT soundtrack on the way. I seriously want to go to Broadway and see this musical now....it's hysterical. Huzzah for Monty Python!!
Thursday: Didn't actually plan on seeing Joey today, but since mom was picking up dad from the airport, someone had to take our Border Collie to the dogpark. While talking to Joey online, I asked if he wanted to go with me. So we both went and played with the pup at the park. Lots of fun was had by all.
Friday: We went to see "Mr. and Mrs. Smith"....and I thought it was a great movie. LOTS of fun.

He went back to L.A. today, but stopped by the rehearsal to say goodbye beforehand.

Urhm, other than that my Gaslighter show closes next week -- save for the few shows during the day for Summer Camps. But it won't be the whole cast, so it won't be the same. Actually, next week we won't even have our regular villian. Not fun.

Jackson Verdict

Not Guilty on all counts.

Drama drama drama

So as I was leaving the Gaslighter Theater today, I saw this crowd of people on the sidewalk as well as three cop cars, and someone lying on the pavement. Apparently, a motorcyclist had gotten hit.

Ewww.

After crossing the street to walk on the other side, this other woman gave me the details on what (apparently) happened. This motorcycle's "accelerator got stuck and she smashed into the back of the S.U.V." (note, those aren't my words...so if it's inacurate to how a motorcycle works, it's not my fault!) His face was all cut up and he probably had a broken arm and leg...but would hopefully be okay.

What I think happened was that he started his motorcycle, didn't see the stopped car, and smashed into it. I think that due to the fact that the Gaslighter's owner said that she heard a motorcycle start up not too long ago. *shrug*

In other Gaslighter news: I got $25 today from tips (average is $5), despite the fact that a lot of my lines were missed. Huzzah!!

Joey's Blog

For those of you concerned about the lack of Joey's blog and/or forums:

Don't worry. They will be back at some point. Right now, he's taken them down for refurbishment. I don't know when they'll be back. Maybe tomorrow, maybe a few weeks...hell, maybe a few months. But either way, don't despair! They'll return before Jesus' second coming.

*Purr* and *Owwie*

*Purr*
Joey's in town for a week or so and I got to spend a lot of time with him last night. We watched Lost and Alias, then spent a lot of time being snuggly cuddly. Ended the night with spending some time at Carrow's due to hunger setting in at about 2:00 in the morning. I'll get to spend more time with him before he leaves, and hopefully we'll be going to Fanime either on Friday or Monday, since I'm busy on the other days.

*Owwie*
My uterus feels like it's trying to claw it's way out of my body. Owwie. Meh, it's still better than it was before the BC pills.

Bloody. Fucking. OW.

Guess who fucked up her neck today!!

Okay, so here's the whole story:
I was trying to see if something would work for a dance number, which requires having the person's chin waaaaay up. And I threw my head back too hard, I guess. So I now have pain from the base of my head to mid back/just around shoulder blades.

If it's worse or not any better tomorrow, I'm going to ditch my acting class to go see the doctor. Since, yanno, I've got to go dance even more tomorrow.

On a different note, on to auditions for the show. Sixty-four people showed up. Ten of them were adults (three men, seven women). Out of the remaining fifty-four, about seven were boys. The director's worried about getting enough talented boys to play the Wickersham Brothers...we need at least three, and we have one that'd make a deffinate Wickersham. The guy down the street I was trying to get into the show didn't show up today, so if he does tomorrow he'll undoubtedly end up as a Wickersham.

I'm rambling, and my ice pack needs to go back in the fridge.

Quotes of the day

Backstory: My kid show has been canceled last week, this week, and next week as well. So it'll be a month since the last time I've done it when the girlscouts AND my group are showing up.

(I just arrived at the Gaslighter to see the comedy show and am approached by my director)

Director: CAITY!
Me: Mark!
Director: Caity DAHLING!
Me: Whatie, dahling?
Director: Do you think we'll EVER do a kid's show again?
Me: What is this "Children's Show" of which you speak?

In other news, the comedy show was....okay. I didn't really get to enjoy it until the ANNOYING DUMBASS TEENAGERS left the balcony. Honestly, they got so rowdy and disrespectful that Security had to be sent up to keep an eye on them. Thankfully, they left after their two friends had performed....so about half way through. The following did occur, though.

MC: You in the balcony are going to have to settle down.
Me: Thank GOD, it's about time.
Two Teenage Twits: *Turn and give me an OMG BURN IN HELL look*
My brain: What? Shut the fuck up, you're fifteen.
What I actually did: *Ignores them and watches the show*

Stress!!

Auditions for Seussical are coming up this weekend. I've finished the dance to teach folk for it, but...yanno, I'm still having stress dreams about it. People not showing up, or not understanding the dance. Yargh.

I also have a 2 page paper due tomorrow, and a 7 pager due in two more weeks (that I haven't started yet). Gaaah....I'm feeling overwhelmed. I need hugs.

Edit: Finished four ASL papers (three about guest speakers, one about video tapes). I have two more video-tape ones to do, and God only knows how many webpage ones. Also, I need to go to a Deaf Event (I was going to on the 30th, but I forgot).

I also got my 2 page paper done nice and early. The 7 pager still needs to be started....and...have the topic decided on.

Ahh, family...

Sometimes, it makes my hurt hurt to know that my sister's actually related to me.

Long story short, my niece (16 years old) got dumped at my house yesterday because her mom "couldn't deal with her." Actually, what she couldn't deal with was the fact that my niece is being a teenager -- and her husband acts like one (meaning immature, pig-headed, bossy, etc)

So, I'm off to drive the teenager to school. Wheeee.

Does this mean I'm going to hell?

I can't help but smirk at the fact that there's the bar at the bottom of my TV screen that says "LIVE" on it....while I'm watching the procession of Pope John Paul II's body. Not at the fact he's dead....just that it's a dead body and it says "LIVE"...

Alright, Gaslighter updates

First rehearsal: Stressed out to the point of crying. The director was very blunt, but it was for the best (with a week and a half of rehearsals, you have to be). Met the rest of the cast. They seem alright. I'm the youngest (I think), and feel a bit intimidated...they're all already Gaslighter alumni, so I feel out of place.

Second rehearsal: Aside from the villian arriving drunk and pissing off the director, things went well. Didn't cry, WOO!

Third rehearsal: Pretty much had my lines down, felt a bit more comfortable. The director told folk that since I have asthma that if they were going to smoke, to do it away from the door. The last few nights, I'd had issues after awhile and ended up a bit wheezy...didn't tonight, so yay.

Upcoming rehearsal schedule:
Saturday at 11:00 = Costuming and run throughs
Sunday at 2:00 (may get canceled)
Monday through Thursday at 6:45 = run throughs without costumes
Saturday: Opening

New and Scary things...

About to leave for my first Gaslighter rehearsal. I'm scared out of my gourd. Update later on how it went.

This PSA brought to you by "One A Day!"

Okay. I now officially hate multivitamins. I took it, ate my breakfast, and STILL feel sick to my stomach. Last time I felt like this, I blacked out in the shower. Vunderbar.

Weekend Recap

Alrighty, I was busy this weekend! On Saturday, I took the pup to the dog park yet again, where there were a couple of dogs he ran around with when he wasn't chasing the ball. I came home and said toodles to my mom when she went off to go pick up dad for dinner between the shows he was doing lights for.

Five o'clock rolled around and Joey showed up. *Purr* We spent time at home alone opening "Valibirssary" gifts (Valentine-birthday-anniversary), so he finally got to recieve his Dr. Who scarf, knitted penguin, a bag of Vanilla Almond Moose Munch, and a gorgeous platinum and gold pen I got engraved for him. After which, we watched The Tartan Terrors at home. Unfortunately, the DVD started to act up by the end -- which is when the bit that I watch the entire thing for starts -- so we didn't get to see that part.

By around 7:30 or so we left for dinner at TGIFridays, where we practically drowned in Jack Daniels sauce. Mmm! After dinner, we went to Golfland to play around at the arcade for hmm...about an hour. Got back to my house by 11:30, which is when we went inside to watch season 4 of Coupling. We ended up dozing off half way through the third episode, and slept unil 5 AM...which is when Joey went home.

On Sunday, I went to go see the kid show "Nifty Fifties," which was actually really cute. For dinner, the parentals and I went out for Chinese food.

Been spending a lot of time playing with my Sims 2 University, which Joey got me. I've made a nearly perfect Joey-look-alike. *Snicker*

So there you have it.

Friday, March 04, 2005

Er...well then. Yay!

That was...the most informal audition ever. *Snicker* The owner reminds me of someone from Queer Eye, or Charlotte's wedding planner from Sex in the City

Owner: Can you sing and act and dance?
Me: Um...yeah.
Owner: Fabulous! Get her contact info!
Me: *Guh!?*
Lady who called me: Shouldn't you have her sing a little?
Owner: Sing!
Me: *...Does a little*
Owner: Neat! Dance! *Plays a Charleston beat*
Me: *Sorta kinda does the charleston*
Owner: Ooo. Good! Just wanted to see if you can move, and you can! Pretty well, actually.
Me: *Thinks that they must have pretty low standards!*
Owner: Well, I was hoping to give you a script, but we don't have any yet. We'll let you know when we do. You'll have to learn your part and music by March 26th, which is when we're doing the kid's show.

So. Yeah. Yay me I'm doing children's vaudeville! It pays too, apparently, but I don't know what. *dies* He said not to quit my day job for it...but hey, it's gotta pay better than being a student, yeah?

Wednesday, March 02, 2005

Well, I'll be jiggered

So. Two years ago, I went to a local vaudeville/melodrama theater and dropped off a card that had my info on it. Name, phone number, and that I was interested in doing their shows if they ever needed the help. Never heard from them again.

This afternoon/evening, my cell phone starts ringing. It's a restricted call, so I assume it's my acting class partner calling to see if we can meet up sometime.

Nope.

It's a representitve for the vaudeville theater. Apparently, they're short handed and were wondering if I was still interested. So hey, why not? Told them I'd come down Friday evening. I'll get to talk with the owner, and I guess they're gonna give me a script or something. Woo auditions!

Also: My mom got a call from "The Broadway of Elementary Schools" today. They're apparently interested in having mom and I do their shows. Holy crap. We're talking, like, third through fifth grade kids doing things like SEUSSICAL or any other type of harder, more adult show. They're not even thinking of like "Annie Jr."...they'll do "Annie" instead. Wow.

They better pay good. I hear they're damn awful to their hired help. :P

Woo!

Joey's going to try to come up this weekend. *Squee!* Mrr...I miss him.

Another trip to the dogpark today, and we saw a Border Collie mix who was completely taken with following Dhougal around. Here they are! Dhougal, my baby boy, is in the front. Chili is behind him.

Idiots shouldn't be allowed to have pets

Took Dhougal, my border collie, to the Dog Park today. I try to make it once a week when the weather's nice. All was fine for awhile. There were a few pit mix pups about Dhougal's age, and a cute little pug named Oliver there. Then, demon dogs showed up.

Well, it's not fair to call them that. The owners obviously have NOT spent ANY time training them. But anyway.

These two dogs were, to put it bluntly, nasty. The bigger one (looked like a rottie mix, I think...never got close enough to check) had a cloth muzzle on when he got there, and would still rush at dogs while snarling and barking. The smaller one (chihuahua/terrier, I believe) had just as mean in a much smaller body. Then, the owners took the muzzle off. As soon as I saw that, I put Dhougal back on his leash and went to hang outside of the fence.

There was a plus, though. Outside of the fence, there were other areas that were part of the school's 4H club, I guess. There was a fenced in area with goats moseying around in there. Dhougal and I stopped to watch them, and after a moment he started to bark at them. At first, all of those goats were scattered around in the pen, and after Dhougal's barking they were all together in a herd! I was very impressed, since he'd NEVER done it before!

About 10 minutes after the untrained out of control dogs showed up, the owners finally got some sense and left. Dhougal and I played around for about another half hour before coming home.

But seriously: DO NOT take your dogs to an OFF LEASH DOG PARK if you know they're that badly untrained. And if for some unknown reason you do, keep the muzzle on and for God's sake, do NOT spend the whole time on your goddam cell phone.

Sheesh.

Things that make a good day:

1. Getting to see an old instructor that you absolutely ADORED completely at random. At a totally different school.

2. Retelling what the American Sign Language (ASL) instructor had just told the class, and being told that everyone should practice their sign with me. Because I'm just that good.

3. Realizing, once again, that I actually CAN hold a conversation in ASL -- even if it is a short one.

4. Seeing an incredibly well performed play of Of Mice and Men -- even if the ending made you so sad that you curled up on your chair with your ears plugged, eyes shut, and bawling quietly.

5. Getting a phonecall from my love. Yeah, I don't get to see him this weekend...but it still means the world to me when I get to hear from Joey. (And dammit, he needs to get his arse down here or clean his apartment so I can go up....he needs the rest of his Valentine/Anniversary gifts!)

Good and Bad things (Possible TMI)

Good thing: Getting a new Birth Control Perscription! I'm on my last pack right now.

Bad thing: Having an appointment at 11:15, waiting about an hour before you get to go into the doctor's room. Another half hour before she shows up. Expecting to have to get a Pap Smear since it's been over a year, but apparently you don't need to since the last one was normal, so you spent the entire HOUR AND A HALF waiting for a fucking perscription renewal.

The entire trip was a pain in the ass....at least it didn't end up as a pain somewhere else. Heh.

I miss the RN that used to be there. She was uber nice. Unfortunately, she's moved to a new medical group that I'm not a member of. I would so transfer to her, except that I like being able to see my doctor from when I was a baby sometimes, too. I saw him in passing today and got a big hug.

Anyway. Yeah, been a non-eventful day.

Ahh..what a weekend.

I won't get too into it, but I had an absoultely wonderful time with Joey this weekend. Despite the confusion with the hotel room, despite his forgetting the gifts he has for me, and despite poor Joey's car battery dying so that it took an extra two hours before he got back on the road -- I had a great time.

At about 3:30, Joey shows up and we head off to check into our hotel room for the night. King sized bed (Biggest damn bed I've ever seen) and a television with a DVD player. By 6:30 we were getting ready to head off to Dave & Buster's for dinner and video games. Lotta fun there! And wow, I really liked the Jack Daniels chicken I got.

Got back to the hotel room by 10 or so, and watched the end of a Lewis Black comedy bit and then four episodes of Coupling before we dozed off. We'd set an alarm to go off at about 8:30 so that we could catch the complimentary breakfast, but...well, we were too exhausted and slept in until practically check out time.

That was when we discovered the dead car battery. Called for AAA and they showed up within about 45 minutes to jump the battery. Drove all the way over to Pep Boys to pick up a new battery and the tools to change it...AND a portable battery charger.

All in all, like I said, I had a wonderful time with my man. Yeah, it would've been nice had we known about their romantic Valentine's Day special services...but you know what? I think it's best when you can spend so much time just being with someone and still feel completely and utterly loved.

And There's Already STRESS!

We have no music director for the show. He up and fucking quit. All he had to do was do the orchestra and teach the music, but NO. He decided he wasn't going to because his family didn't want him to (read: the wife threw a hissy fit).

Great. Like it wasn't bad enough that we have no rehersal accompanist...now we have no music director at ALL.

*Sigh...shake head* We haven't even done auditions yet...

Quick update before classes

STC, the Shoestring Theater Company, had a meeting last night to see what show we'll be doing this coming summer. There were 4 shows on the list for this year: Seussical, Into the Woods, Cinderella, and Bye Bye Birdie.

The first to the chopping block was Cinderella, since last year we did "A Little Princess"....it was too much princess-ness in a row.

Second up, after a lot of debating, was Bye Bye Birdie. Mainly, because we couldn't garuntee that we would have someone to play Conrad Birdie, who's effectively a spoof of Elvis and Conway Twitty (Don't think I spelled his name right).

Finally, it was down to Seussical and Into the Woods. Both are shows that I would LOVE to do. Seussical is effectively an opera, but is SO fun (I've seen it)....and Into the Woods has music that's incredibly difficult, but a part that I would adore to play someday (The Witch). There was a lot of talk deciding between these two, until it started to seem like everyone was leaning more toward Seussical for various reasons.

So, The Shoestring Theater Company's summer production for 2005 is:

(Drumroll please)

Background: STC is a theater company that my parents started 9 years ago. I've participated in 8 shows by acting, 4 by doing the choreography. Both of those numbers are including this coming show.

ANYway.

Here's the list of shows we've done in the past, and the parts I've played:

Sound of Music -- None
Oliver -- Charlotte
Annie -- Lily St. Regis
Godspell -- Gilmer
Wizard of Oz -- Hanah/Scarecrow
HONK! -- The Tom Cat
Peter Pan -- Peter Pan
Little Princess -- Miss Minchin

Girl's Night and an Unexpected Surprise

Girl's night was alright. We all got together and went to Lisa's Tea Treasures, where we had tea, little sandwiches, and decadent chocolate cake. Afterwards, we went to see the movie "Sideways," which I can only describe as a semi-chick flick that stars guys. Very enjoyable, but I'm sure Aviator will beat it out.

During the whole event, I had a slight feeling of being left out. Hey, it happens when the person who's the closest to your age is still 14 years older than you. And since I was wheezing a bit due to my throat (oh, by the way, I've discovered it's most likely allergies)...I was just sorta grumpy feeling. Well, around 11:00, I get the chance to talk to Joey while he's taking a break from hanging with his pals to visit. Apparently, I didn't sound too happy on the phone....and he decided to come over for a visit! He stopped by around midnight or midnight-thirty, and it was just so good to see him.

Besides, it means the world to me when he does things like coming over when I don't sound my happiest. It makes me feel so loved...it's just wonderful.

Still going to have him all to myself next weekend. I just can't wait...it'll be wonderful.

--In Other News!--
I'm watching the tail end of the Superbowl (I'm not a football fan), waiting for Simpsons and American Dad to start. I'm hoping it'll be over soon enough so I can still see those shows before Desperate Housewives.

Change of plans

Hmm. Well, Joey's coming home this weekend. BUT, since he can't get Friday off, the only time I would've been able to see him would have been Saturday night. Which has already been slated to a family Girl's Night thingy. So, this weekend is going to be just a family visit.

Next weekend, though. That weekend's all for me. We're talking, he'll be at a hotel instead of parent's house sort of thing. *Purr* That's fine....I can wait another week. Besides, by then I should have the final bit to his Valentine's gift bag (I love putting together bag/baskets of gift stuff).

Guess who I get to see this weekend.

Weekend Recap

Alright, I was going to do this earlier, but I fell asleep. Stupid sleep schedule is still way off for me.

Anyway, Friday Knight Fever went pretty well!

Friday's show was the best, save for a music glitch. The kids were spot on with their lines, the audience was responsive, and the "Love Song" in the show was great. All of the goofy effects that made it a fun number worked -- mainly, the bubble machine. The audience loved it, the kids had a great time, and all was well.

Saturday's show didn't go quite as well. It was still pretty good, but during one of the scenes there was a huge pause full of dead air in the third scene of the first act. Also, during intermission someone (no clue who) turned off the bubble machine. So those poor kids had to due this incredibly sappy love song without the effect that made it bearable to do. Otherwise, though, it was fine. The kids enjoyed it.

Sunday. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. Well, about half the cast had a fever so it was very low energy. The same bit of dead air was there, but not as long as the previous day, and once again the bubbles didn't work. We had PROMISED them bubbles, since we tested it before the show and they DID work. Turned out, someone went and unplugged the thing. Grr.

Oh! The best thing about Sunday's show. There was a little girl in the cast who ended up in the hospital after the last dress rehearsal to have her appendix removed, so she'd missed the first two shows...but thank goodness, she made it to the last one!

A few top memories from this show:
-The girl playing Miss Buttercup, the school Secretary, kept getting more and more over the top every night. By the end of the show, she was one of my favorite kids to watch.
-The girl who played one of the boy punks, who had NO clue how to do it. At one point, she stood with her legs far apart to point at someone while delivering a line, and then hopped and SNAPPED her legs back together. Real close. It made me laugh every time.
-One boy, who was a 5th grader that I've worked with since 3rd grade. He used to be a really sour kid who never looked like he had any fun. This year, he was friendly, outgoing, and always willing to play. He even gave me a huge hug after the last show.
-One of the girls who I've worked with before, and I know needed Special Ed. classes at the time. She's grown SO much in the past year, that it was honestly shocking. I was so impressed with her.

Hopefully, the production team will decide that my mom and I are NOT the evil team of nay-sayers that they must've thought we were...and that I'll be able to do this again next year. I love working with these kids, and one of them started to cry when I said I wasn't sure if I'd be back next year.

Meh-ness

The Kitola dislikes being moody and lonesome. Some of my friends showed up for the show today. But the one person I really wish could've been there couldn't due to the 7 hour drive.

Girl's Night is next weekend.

I am SO going to L.A. the weekend after that.

Friday, January 28, 2005

I have a better picture of my outfit from opening on my camera, but the pup's chewed through the cord used to move camera pictures to the laptop.

Devine Intervention

That's gotta be the only reason the kids were pulled together last night. A few bits of dialouge got missed, but they kept going. The Alley-Cats knew their dance last night....and they actually sat like little ladies!! We had been having issues with them sitting in their skirts all...wide-legged and slumping.

Tonight's opening night, and I've got to go get myself ready for it. Shower, 70's clothes, and I'm gonna try to get my hair to do the Farrah Fawcett thing.

Save me from drowning

Gleh...this show I've been working on is so not ready to be seen by an audience. No one remembers lines, the movement is slow, the sound cue guy doesn't know the script, the stage managers hadn't been around until NOW (same with set AND prop people), and the kids haven't been practicing their dances. Believe me, it shows.

I don't want to go and sit through the show five more times. This has been the worst one to work with. I miss the producer that was there for the last four years.

*Sigh* And Joey's so bogged with things to do to make his job easier, that he won't be able to come down and save me. Next weekend, I have a Lisa's Tea Treasure's "Girl's Night" with some folk. Hopefully, the weekend before Valentine's, I'll be able to either go to L.A. or Joey will be able to come up. Hopefully, going to L.A. will be what happens. After sooo much time apart, I want to be able to spend as much time as possible with him.

Monday, January 24, 2005

One year, two years, time goes by.

It's 2 AM, so my writing skills aren't up to par. I'll cut this short (possibly write a longer entry during the day), and just say this:

It's been two years. There's been ups and downs, but I'm still happier for knowing you. Love you Joey. Talk to you tonight.

Sorry this journal's turning into a place to rant...

But I seriously don't feel like I can post what I want to at my usual LiveJournal account. Ever since I started to mention not agreeing with J and bitching in general about people getting engaged/married/engaged-to-be-engaged so young (I know that it works for some, but since it doesn't for most then I don't trust it)...people have been deciding to comment that I'm an evil jealous psychobitch.

Um...what?

Oh, and then someone decides to post in their own journal about how I'm "outrageously jealous" (what??) and then decides to take blows at my education because, wow, HE knew exactly what he wanted to do for FOREVER. Yeah, some of us need to check out a few different areas before getting into our majors. I looked into a LOT of different things before deciding on Preschool Teacher. Deffinately not glamorous, of course, but it seems like something I'd enjoy.

Meh. Moving on.

Kitola's "You Know What Shits Me?" of the week:

I can't stand it when people decide to tell the world that I'm immature, but then refuse to drop the topic once I've mentioned -- many times -- that I want it dropped. Also, they keep bringing it up after I have stopped mentioning it, and removed any "offending" stuff from the previously mentioned LiveJournal.

Frankly, pulling that shite on me after a very stressful SIX HOUR rehearsal with 3rd - 5th graders is a one way ticket to my shit list. A grand total of four people have ever been on it, and only one has redeemed himself from it.

Urge to kill....rising...

Check it out, a post that isn't about people getting married at a ridiculously young age!

This one is about people getting unmarried.

Alright, so my cousin is married and with three girls. The four year is going to special ed preschool because she doesn't speak (she'll parrot, but she doesn't talk on her own), the three year old refuses to potty train, and they have a new one that's three months. They're living off of my cousin's paycheck of $1400 a month, and food stamps. The wife refuses to work.

Guess who threw my cousin out of the house. That's right, his wife. She's filed for divorce, and is asking for MORE than half of his paycheck....while still refusing to work.

What. The. FUCK!?

I'm so MAD that I can't see straight. Those poor girls aren't going to have any kind of a chance now, if the courts end up letting them stay with the mom. I'm almost certain CPS would come down on their mother's ass and the girls would end up in foster care.

Talk about immature and selfish. Their anniversary was last week. The wife asked my aunt for a cruise -- just last week. When the papers were already FILED. Just....GUH.

Just what I needed was another reason to hate people. And what really pisses me off, is that I've spent so much time defending her to other people. Then she goes and pulls this crap. Just...what in the name of all that is good and holy could this person be thinking!?

Monday, January 17, 2005

Okay, here's a big WTF

Sorry Bill, you are not walking sex.

A bit of explanation

Reasons I was feeling so shitty were basically a combination of things. Mainly, I was stressing from the show I'm working on, and there were two people calling me "immature" and "jealous" of J because of my feelings that she may be rushing into things and royally screwing herself over.

But like I said, feeling a bit better now. Just mopey that I may not get to see the Joey this month due to his horrid work schedule. *Crosses fingers* He may come the last weekend of this month, but that's the weekend of the show. And despite that I have no tickets, I'm probably expected to be there. I wonder if I could get the director's approval to ditch one night. Hmm...

Currently watching something on NBC about St. Jude's Hospital. Made me remember the little girl I met while doing these shows that had had a surgery to remove a brain tumor the summer before I met her. She was such a wonderful kid. She's still great, actually. Very sweet, and her sister's one of my favorite kids in the show this year.

*Random tangent* Last night, I created a posting board for a friend and myself, in order to write out stories with characters we used to role-play in D&D with. I made a similar page years ago, and we had these huge elaborate posts that went in all kinds of directions. It'll be fun to get the creative juices flowing again. It might even help with my artist's block.

Feeling less shitty/unloved today

Spent time hanging out with K today, who is so totally AWESOME for a 16 year old. Plus, when I told Joey how perfectly horrible I felt last night (I sent him a text message around 2:30 because I was sobbing, and an e-mail this morning to explain it), he made me feel much better by sending me a comforting reply. And knowing how busy and hectic he is in L.A., that meant a lot.

Thursday, January 13, 2005

And now, a big WHAT THE SHIT!?

Greh. I'm stressing the hell out with this play. Not with the kids, though. With the vocal director.

The vocal director is giving both the director and myself hell by telling us how to do our job. She told me today that she wants me to change the choreography in two numbers! What the FUCK is with that and who the HELL does she think she is telling me to do that.

It's stressing me out. I've already had to alter a number because she was pissy that the girls were going to be facing upstage -- due to lack of stage space. Let's not forget to mention how hard it is on the kids if you've FREAKIN PRACTICED A CERTAIN DANCE FOR TWO MONTHS!!!!!

*Mutter grumble* I really want to just tell this woman off...she tells me how to do my job, and thinks that she CAN just because I'm so young. Alright, so I may not have a son in the 5th grade like she does, but what the hell makes her think she's so high and mighty?

Well, I'll be damned if I alter ANOTHER dance because she's being fussy. I've already altered a dance TWICE because she didn't like it. I'm NOT going to alter two more dances with just one more week of rehearsals left.

Spring Schedule

Monday/Wednesday:
10:30 - 11:45 = Acting
Tuesday/Thursday:
10:30 - 11:45 = Story Telling/Creative Drama
1:30 - 2:45 = ASL 2 (minor class, I think?)
3:00 - 4:15 = Child/Adolescence in a Multicultural Society (major class)
Friday:
Amazingly, still nothing.

I'm sooo glad Fridays are free for me! I can make weekend trips to L.A. now. I'm so going up the weekend before Valentine's Day (which is on a Monday this year).

Tuesday, January 11, 2005

Argh. I hate schools.

FINALLY registered for classes at the school I'm transferring to. They wouldn't let me until I'd gotten all of my transcripts in -- despite that most of them were just bullshit classes. And THEN they didn't sent me any letter to let me know that they recieved my transcripts and that I could register.

Meh.

I'm in 4 classes, so I'm covered by health insurance at least (which is good, since I need to get a prescription renewed).

1 class is in my major for Child Development, one is in my minor for Deaf Education/Culture, and 2 are in theater because I needed the damn units.

This'll hopefully be easier in the summer or fall (depending on if I decide to take summer classes or not).

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday to My Love!!

Hope to see you soon sweetheart...I need to give you your birthday present(s).

Stop me from shopping..PLEASE!

I really shouldn't be spending so much money..since I don't HAVE that much to begin with. Aside from the things I've bought Joey for Christmas, Birthday, and Anniversary combined (Gads, probably close to $150 or more for all of it {I've been shopping since October}...not as bad as it could be, but it's a lot for me)...I've been buying shit for myself.

Today, at Target, I bought:
A sooooft silk shirt (Which I can't WAIT to wear)
Knee high black/grey socks
a Yoga DVD

I'm not usually a shopaholic. I'm down to $45 in my wallet. :'(

Stop me before I shop again!

Sunday, January 09, 2005

Who knew there were so many ways to say THAT!?

I had an ASL (American Sign Language) workshop to go to today (I'm starting to think about being an interp.)....it involved nothing but sex/drugs.

I now know in sign language:
3 different ways to say penis, vagina, clitoris, breasts, blow job, cunnilingus, and probably others (too lazy to go grab my notes)...and 7 different ways to say intercourse/fuck.

Plus a HELL of a lot more. I can't wait to show these to Joey for amusement's sake.

Friday, January 07, 2005

Open question to all readers:

Question: Is it bad form to flaunt smoochy pictures to someone you crushed on for 5 years?

Here's the situation: Meet my friend J. When she was in 8th grade, and on for 5 years, she had this huge crush on my friend, B. Currently, J is "unoffically engaged" to someone now (that sparked my last post *scoff* 10 months...), and B has yet to have had a girlfriend. She sends B a picture of J and her boytoy kissing.

Am I wrong in thinking that this, joined with the fact that she's been flaunting the ring at me, that she is being HORRIBLY unclassy? It just doesn't set right with me.

Because it's bugging the hell out of me...

I have a feeling Joey will eventually post something similar, and most deffinately better than I can word it...but I've got to get this vented here as well.

What the SHIT is it with people getting engaged/married/pregnant/WHATEVER at young ages? I went to Alumni Day at school, and discovered that someone who was in the 10th grade when I graduated is engaged.

Let's add to this that K is also married, pregnant, and moved to Germany.

I also knew a girl who was engaged at 17 (thankfully, I think that they broke up).

OH! And J, is "unofficially engaged"....whatever the shit that means. And they've only been together for about 7 months.

What in the world is up with this? Joey's right with how people probably don't even know who they are at that age (DEFFINATELY not at 17), and shouldn't be getting married until closer to 25. But..Gah. I don't know. The whole idea of these people who are younger than me doing this just squicks me out for some reason. It makes me feel old. Or annoyed. Or maybe slightly jealous. Who knows.

Either way, it just angers me.

Guh.

Update on "Buzz" and "Delilah"

Well, my assistant choreographer helped me think up something to make the dance easier for these two kids, and decided that we'd show it, then teach it on Monday (since, yanno, we don't get to work with them again until Monday).

Turns out, after talking with my mom (she's directing...the entire family is full of theater rats), they do the dance FINE on stage. But, if that's the case, then why do they like...not even TRY while in the choreography room with me? I mean...it's not like I'm able to see that they're doing it better, if they don't take the practice time with me seriously.

Geh. Sometimes I just don't know why I work with kids. But then I get rushed with a huge hug, and I end up remembering.

Besides. I just love the theater. Yay for drama geeks!

...I do this for a living WHY!?

So. Went to rehearsal today, first time since the winter break. It was the worst thing ever. *Facepalm* All was fine until the kids playing Buzz and Delilah came in. Delilah's such a space case....

Me: "Delilah," you need to hold your hand like this so "Buzz" can grab it.
Delilah: *Stares at fingers and wiggles them*
Me: No, like THIS...*Fixes her hand again*
Delilah: *Moves fingers to stare at them again*
Me: "Delilah," pay attention!
Delilah: *Talking about her fingernails* They're pretty...!
Me (in my head): ...What the fuck!?

The entire hour I had them was like that. Urrrrgh...this show goes on in 5 weeks. And that girl is a fifth grader. Good GOD.

A comment from Joey's blog...

Happy Billy Says:

By the way…. Hey Kitola are you hot? And have you nailed Joey yet?

*Just....dies* For some reason, this comment amuses me to no end.

Happy New Year!

Alright, started out the day feeling like crap because (1) Joey's in L.A. and it's too far for me to go to be with him tonight, and still go to my brother's tomorrow for his birthday, and (2) all of me friends have been so damn evil that they haven't called me back while I was trying to organize some sort of get together.

All that combined lead to a very bitter Kitola who grumpily spent New Year's watching a movie and having dinner with parents.

The movie, By The Sea, was VERY good. If you love Bobby Darin, you'd love to see Kevin Spacey play him. My God, he sounds EXACTLY like Bobby Darin when he sings. It was almost scary when I learned that he did all of his own singing.

Well, anyway, the bitterness has passed. Oddly, it all sorta...melted away. I just felt so much better when I got a call at midnight from Joey. That meant an awful lot to me.

Well, hope everyone who reads this (does anyone read this?) had a good New Year's, and that 2005 treats you wonderfully.
