Doggy Update

Cookie's not eating and refusing to take her pills.

Hopefully, she's just being stubborn right now, as opposed to having decided she's going to curl up and die.

We did finally trick her into taking her anti-inflamitory by crushing it up into peanut butter and smearing it on her tongue.

Long story short about how her blood work came back, it's like an episode of "House." You know, where some count in her blood is high so it might be this one thing.....except it can't possibly be that, because something else is low and that discounts the first theory. Essentially, anything that could go wonky in her blood has done so.

Fuck, I'm worried and sad and really need a hug. I don't want my puppy to be dying.

Oh I hope your puppy is doing better. Big Hugs! Our little Lhasa (Angel) started having seizures about a month ago, two weeks a go they were two a day! We now have her on anti-seizure meds and she seems to be doing better. she goes in for her blood test tomorrow after 2 weeks of being on the meds they want to see how much is in her blood after fasting so they can adjust the dosage if necessary. Also it can affect her liver so they need to do liver enzymes to make sure her liver is doing ok. the meds make her a bit groggy, but that is much better than watching her have a grand mal seizure! Congratulations on your graduation this year. Wow, do you know what you want to do after you graduate?

Today, I was able to get her to eat about five bites of chicken, and she had some water (which was good because the vet said she was dehydrated). However, she ignored the chicken broth and the scrambled egg I made for her at different points of the day.

And she just recently vomited some foam....but at least it was bile colored, and not bloody.

Still worrying about her, but the interest in at least a little bit of food is progress.

After graduation, I first off need to get a job at least for the summer, and then I need to apply for the credential program in the fall.
